Katie’s cottage was a beautiful place. We were a family of 5 and there was ample space both inside and outside. The house was beautifully decorated, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. Lovely restored and updated cottage. Lots of rooms and bathroom. Most places have only one full bath and here was 3! And beautiful baths too. Great location allowing us to get to all sites under an hour. Minutes to Bellaghy for dinner and drink. Would absolutely stay again.

Katie’s Cottage is simply wonderful – sympathetically restored, with every modern convenience. The attention to detail is marvellous, from the plentiful welcome pack to the hospitality tray in each room. Mary is a super host! We wish we could have stayed longer. Katie’s Cottage is a great base to explore the surrounding area. We will definitely return.

We will be back. We are a family of 4 but I wanted to bring my mother-in-law and her sister with us. I wanted a thatched cottage and we hit the jackpot. This property retains the character of the old world, yet is fully modernised in unobtrusive ways, like the tv, perfect internet (hugely important for teens) and kitchen appliances. Met on our arrival by Mary, who gave us the lowdown on the property and surrounding area, all these details were also provided in an information book. I’ve stayed in various locations, but I’ve never seen a welcome pack like that before, it was deeply appreciated and enjoyed. There are so many extras and little added items that it is too hard to list everything but if you think you might need one, it’s already there lol. Thanks Mary The layout of the cottage was excellent, and the bedrooms downstairs meant it was not a struggle for my 94-year-old mother-in-law or her wee sister, 87 years. Both loved the cottage and couldn’t believe how big it was inside.

Fantastic Cottage!!! Fantastic traditional thatched cottage steeped in history with all the modern amenities about 30 mins north of Belfast. The cottage is easily accessible off the M2 and a perfect base to tour Belfast and Co. Antrim. Mary could not have been a more thoughtful host. She had a delightful welcome food pack and a well-stocked fridge! Everything you needed was available in the cottage and there were pleasant surprises in every corner. Well equipped kitchen with great WIFI and a TV in each of the 4 bedrooms and 2 living rooms; a lovely sitting area outside the cottage and private parking. Could not have asked for more for a relaxing weekend break. As a self-catering break this was the best we have been on. We did not want to leave!!!

Mary is a great host and provided a generous welcome basket of goodies as well as a warm personal welcome. The cottage is well done, and the kitchen is very well equipped.

Perfect spacious house in gorgeous setting with excellent hostess- a definite hit with our family and brilliant facilities deceptively spacious and with tv/ tea coffee facilities in every bedroom it offered plenty of areas you could relax in away from other guests if needed. Mary has thought of everything you might need and provided it with care. My mother was visually impaired, so we just needed to move some items of furniture out of the way to make the living areas easier for her to navigate but that was a very minor detail.

Best equipped holiday accommodation in a beautifully modernised listed building. Katie’s cottage is a beautifully appointed and well-situated house. My family and I were made to feel very welcome when we arrived, we loved the decor and the history of the house. Also, Katie’s cottage is probably the best equipped rental house that we have ever stayed in. I heartily recommend this rental accommodation to all explorers of Northern Ireland.
